As a private practice owner you must present yourself both on and off-line as unique, personable, and approachable.
Gone are the days were any business owner let alone a private practice over can leave this to chance. In short you must set up your own media empire, and then police it on a regular basis.
Like it or not, these are the realities of modern private practice. Now admittedly, this is something you may be completely unfamiliar with or uncomfortable with.

Keep in mind, that the readily available forms of communication including blogs, video, personalized websites and most especially the social media, really anybody now to self publish. This of course can take many forms.
